Pedestrian Struck by Metra Train Near Midlothian
Trains were halted, then delayed following the incident Wednesday evening.
OAK FOREST, IL — Inbound and outbound Metra trains are delayed Wednesday evening after a Rock Island train struck a pedestrian near Midlothian.
Metra issued an alert just after 4 p.m. Outbound trains were halted temporarily, then slowly returned to service, with delays throughout the early evening.
No information on the victim's identity was available early Thursday.
