MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Get your Pixies, your Dixies and your vanilla buttercreams before the Midlothian Fannie May candy store closes its doors next Friday.

The Midlothian staple will be closing July 26 because rent increases pushed it out of its location at 147th Street and Cicero Avenue.

"We just found out and our manager told us we can start telling customers," said Kristina Brenner, a store associate.
