Motorcyclist, 30, Dies after Harvey Crash

HARVEY, IL — A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after he was hit by a pickup truck in Harvey.

Darryl Madlock, of the 14200 block of Kenwood Avenue in Dolton, was riding west on 147th Street around 3 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck making a lefthand turn onto Vincennes Road, Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Madlock was transported to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where he was pronounced dead at 4:59 p.m., according to the report.

The driver was cited for failure to yield and driving on an expired registration. He told police that he did not see the motorcycle.
