Oak Forest High School Announces New Head Football Coach
District 228 and Oak Forest High School Welcome Anthony Malopsy

Oak Forest High School has named Anthony Malopsy as its new Head Football Coach. For the past eleven years, Malopsy has been a member of the Brother Rice High School Football Coaching Staff. Of which, the last five years he served specifically as the Assistant Head Coach and Varsity Defensive Coordinator. In the last three years, the Brother Rice Football Program has been ranked in the top 5 of the 8A Illinois state football rankings and state defensive rankings.
As someone who has been a part of a very successful program and has coached in some of the biggest games IHSA football has to offer, Oak Forest Football Athletes can look forward to Malopsy developing the team both on and off the field. Additionally, the entire Oak Forest Community can look forward to seeing Malopsy bring the football program back to prominence.
“Oak Forest High School is proud to welcome Coach Anthony Malopsy to the Bengal football family,” says Oak Forest High School Athletic Director, Ron Towner. “We conducted an extensive search for the right person to take over the program and Coach Malopsy rose to the top. His football acumen and forward-thinking vision as well as the values he demonstrated fit well into the Athletic Department vision at Oak Forest High School.”

Malopsy was born and raised in the South Suburbs of Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park. He credits several professionals and coaches to his success over the years, including Brian Badke, Tim Lyons, Randy Johnson, and Steve Nye. Who he says, “inspired me to emulate their tremendous success as football coaches and more importantly as tremendous mentors to their vast array of student-athletes they have coached throughout their tenures. From their guidance and tutelage, I hope to be that rock that my student-athletes and coaches can depend on without question.”
