Oak Forest PD Announces Officer Test For Early 2019

The Oak Forest Police Department is now accepting applications for police officers, with officer testing set for Feb. 2019.

OAK FOREST, IL — The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the City of Oak Forest announced a new testing date for potential police officers. The next testing date for officers will be Feb. 2, 2019, potential applicants have until Jan. 16, 2019 to enroll for the test. Testing is being held in anticipation of hiring needs and to establish and eligibility list for future hiring, according to a job posting about the position.

The starting salary for an Oak Forest police officer is listed as $48,987, with a top listed salary of $98,041, according to the job posting. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, 21 or older, have a high school or equivalent education, a valid driver’s license and must not be a convicted felon, according to the job posting.
