Oak Forest Seeks Shoe Donations For Hurricane Dorian Children

The City of Oak Forest is collecting shoe donations for children whose families were victims of Hurricane Dorian.

OAK FOREST, IL — The City of Oak Forest is collecting gently used or new shoes for children who are victims of Hurricane Dorian. The deadline for acceptance is next Tuesday.

A bin for collection will be located in the lobby of city hall. The city will be accepting all types of footwear, including gym shoes, sandals and boots. Donations must be secured in plastic bags or boxes.

Officials will be working with Share Your Soles, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults around the world without proper footwear, for this effort.
