Oak Forest Vehicle Stickers To Go On Sale June 1
Stickers must be purchased online or via mail. No stickers will be sold over the counter at Oak Forest's City Hall.

OAK FOREST, IL — Vehicle stickers for Oak Forest residents will be available for purchase beginning June 1.
According to the city, senior residents will automatically receive their stickers in the mail. Anyone else must purchase their stickers online, by mail or drop off in City Hall's night depository box — located at 15440 Central Ave, Oak Forest.
No stickers will be sold over the counter at Oak Forest's City Hall.

According to the city, all vehicles housed within Oak Forest must be registered with the city, and display a current vehicle sticker at all times. Vehicle stickers are valid from July 1 - June 30 of each year.
Oak Forest residents annually receive vehicle sticker applications via mail, if their vehicle is currently registered with the city.

Stickers need to be purchased no later than midnight of July 31. The stickers must be placed to the lower right corner of the windshield, on the passenger's side. Registration fees for a passenger car are currently $25 dollars, and $15 dollars for motorcycles, but the city said it will double on Aug. 1.
According to the city, senior citizens — 65 and older— are eligible to receive two free vehicle stickers per household, with proper ID and vehicle registration. The vehicle must be registered in the senior citizen's name, and disabled veterans, POWs, and active military may also be eligible for free registration.
The city states that if you purchase a new vehicle, you can pay a $2 transfer fee from the old registered vehicle, and receive a new sticker for the new vehicle. There is a limit of two transfers allowed per year. To do so, visit the City Clerk's Office to complete the vehicle sticker application form and pay the transfer fee.
For new residents, the city explains that vehicles must be registered within 30 days of moving in, and show proof of a move-in date. By contacting the city's clerk's office, new-comers will receive an application in the mail. Up to three vehicles can be registered on one form.
