This week also marks the final time this season city clipping crews will be available.

OAK FOREST, IL — City residents have one final week to get rid of their clippings and other yard waste this year. This also marks the final time this season that Oak Forest chipping crews will be available.

Here are the details residents need to know if they want to get rid of their yard trash this week:

  • Branches must be less than 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length. They also must be stacked in piles no higher than 3 feet tall. Larger branches must be cut into logs no longer than 24 inches and stacked in a separate pile at the curb.
  • Attached dirt must be removed from stumps, root balls and roots.
  • Stickers aren't needed for paper yard bags.
