Obituary: George "Bill" Hanson Of Oak Forest
George "Bill" Hanson, owner of an Oak Forest Subway franchise, has died.

OAK FOREST, IL — George “Bill” Hanson Jr., owner of a Subway restaurant in Oak Forest, died Thursday. He was 60.
The cause of his death is not known. According to the family, Hanson retired from Panduit Corp.after 35 years of dedicated employment, and was the proud owner of Subway of Oak Forest. He was an avid electronic collector, and was always was able to fix anything. He was a lifetime NRA member and an extremely proud American Patriot.
Hanson leaves behind his beloved wife, Karin Hanson (nee Laba) and his children Ashlee (Jon) Jelley and Jeni (Matt) Hanson-Sedory. Hanson also was the grandfather of Keegan, Lynnea, Payton, Brycen, Hudson, Mason, Bennett. Caring brother Joyce (late Fred) Haber, Debbie (Glenn) Laudermith, MeriLynn (David) Bollinger, Thomas (Mary) Piette, Kimberly Hanson-Brzezinski. He was also the brother-in-law, uncle, Godfather, and friend to many.

Funeral Chapel Service will be held Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, 10 a.m. at the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. 60477. Interment to follow service.
