Pedestrian Fatally Hit By Train On Metra's Rock Island Line
It happened early Saturday between the Oak Forest and Tinley Park stations.

OAK FOREST, IL — A pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday on Metra's Rock Island Line. Metra said the incident happened around 5 a.m. between the Oak Forest and Tinley Park stations.
A spokesman for Metra told ABC Chicago the person was hit about a mile from the Oak Forest station and later died.
Metra Alert RI - Inbound and outbound train movement has been halted, near Tinley Park 80th Ave., due to an ongoing police investigation involving a freight train striking a pedestrian. Extensive delays anticipated.

The incident halted inbound and outbound trains, causing "extensive delays."
