OAK FOREST, IL — The Oak Forest Police Department said they responded to a possible robbery Friday morning around 8:21 a.m., but reports of a death have been greatly exaggerated. The incident occurred at 147th and Central, according to police.

When police arrived, an ambulance was requested out of precaution, authorities said. Nonetheless, when social media users took to the web, sharing what they saw as they drove past the scene, some said they believed they saw a dead body, covered in a white cloth.

But police said there was no body at the scene. No death has been reported in Oak Forest and no death investigation is being conducted, according to police.
