Senior Commission Hosts Annual Health Fair on October 6

See what's in store for the seniors in your life.

OAK FOREST, IL – The Oak Forest Senior Commission will host its 15th Annual Senior Health Fair on Thursday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oak Forest Park District at 15601 S. Central Avenue. Admission to the fair is free.

“This is a great opportunity for seniors to take care of some housekeeping items like renewing their drivers’ licenses or enrolling in utility rate relief programs,” said Commission Chair Pete Muscarella. “There will be more than 60 vendors with useful products and valuable information to share with those of us who are 50 years old or better.”

Vendors at this year’s fair will include Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s Office, the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office, CapTel (captioned telephones), South Suburban Cancer Center, Catholic Charities, Oak Forest Horizon Senior Living, and more. During the fair, seniors can get flu, shingles and pneumonia shots (Medicare and supplement cards required); blood pressure tests; emergency ID bracelets; and more.
