Several Arrested In Midlothian Bar Fights At Slapshots, Durbin's
A gunshot was fired into the air at Slapshots Bar & Grill during one of the early Sunday morning bar fights in Midlothian, police said.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Police in Midlothian made several arrests in connection with two bar fights reported minutes apart at separate locations in the village early Sunday morning.
A large fight was first reported at 2 a.m. at Durbin's Bar on the east side of Cicero Avenue, where Midlothian Police Chief Daniel Delaney said several arrests were made.
Twelve minutes later, a similar call came in reporting a fight at Slapshots Bar just two blocks away. Witnesses told police someone fired a gunshot into the air at Slapshots before fleeing in a car, Delaney said.

Delaney said issues at bars in the village have been ongoing, as officials work to address the problem.
"We have taken measures to increase manpower specifically assigned to the bars, made arrests, issued citations, and created relationships with the bar owners," Delaney said. "We also have suspended and revoked business licenses. We will continue to take measures and work with the bar owners until these issues are resolved."
