Shots Fired on I-57 Friday Morning
Six shell casings found between U.S. 30 and Vollmer Road.
MATTESON, IL — Interstate 57 was shut down between U.S. 30 and Vollmer Road in Matteson early Friday morning after a woman's car was struck by gunfire. State Police scoured the interstate between 1:15 a.m. and 4 a.m. and found six shell casings. The woman was driving northbound when her car was struck. She was not hurt.
