Sundance Group (SGi) may primarily be a Human Resources practice, yet all workplaces consist of individuals. Those people who are the face of the company, by phone and in person; and those who provide internal customer service as well. Business owners and managers should and do concern themselves with attracting and retaining customers - we feel they should be just as diligent when attracting and retaining top talent. Quality customer service is all about making your customers feel valued, are treated appropriately, fairly, and letting them know they are appreciated. The same applies to those hired.

Too often, employees who are disgruntled express this unprofessional behavior, absenteeism, lack of attention to details, or poor performance. Unfortunately, word travels fast and furious when a customer has a bad experience, via social media and word of mouth.
