What's Next For Construction At Cicero And 159th In Oak Forest
Have you seen the new sidewalks and curbs along 159th and the new bus stop at Cicero? Lane closures are expected to end later this summer.
OAK FOREST, IL – Expect southbound lane closures on Cicero Avenue as culverts are improved in the next phase of construction that is designed to upgrade roads and roadways near Cicero and 159th Street.
After the southbound lanes are reopened, expect the same work to happen on the northbound lanes, the Illinois Department of Transportation reported.
City of Oak Forest officials also said that new sidewalks and curbs have been built along 159th, and a new bus stop is complete at Cicero.

IDOT estimates that the project will be complete by late this summer.
