Man on the Run After Shooting Girlfriend
Shooting took place Thursday morning in Country Club Hills.
COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — Police are searching for a man who they say is on the run after shooting his girlfriend and taking an 8-year-old boy from a home in Country Club Hills early Thursday.
Robert Donald is suspected in the shooting, an apparent domestic incident turned violent, which took place about 4 a.m. in the 1100 block of Williamsburg Road. The couple argued loudly outside the woman's home before the man fired several times, striking the 34-year-old woman in the abdomen.
The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Her condition was unknown.

Police said the man fled in a 2011 red Ford Taurus with Illinois license number Z558610. He might also be driving a white Buick, Illinois license number Y754993. Police described him as black, age 34, 6 feet, 223 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police consider him armed and dangerous.
