Accused Murderer Out on Bond Charged with Another Murder

CHICAGO, IL — An Oak Park man who was out on bond for a 2014 first-degree murder charge was arrested again this week for a different murder.

Tramian Barnes, now 21 and formerly of Joliet, is accused of shooting 19-year-old Alex Anderson on Jan. 20, 2014, while he was riding in Barnes' car in the 4300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.

Barnes' bail in that case was set at $1 million, and he posted 10 percent to get out of jail while waiting for trial.

Now, Barnes is accused of armed robbery, carjacking and murder, and he is being held without bail, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office and the Chicago Sun-Times.

Barnes' accomplice, Kenyatta Alexander of Bellwood, is accused of shooting Anthony Heatherly, 17, on April 4 in the 5500 block of North Harlem, the Sun-Times reports, citing Assistant State’s Attorney Liam Reardon. Barnes allegedly helped push Heatherly out of the car before he got in the driver's seat and ran over Heatherly.
