Chicago Divorce And Family Law Attorneys Announce New Firm

CHICAGO, IL — Family law attorneys Joy M. Feinberg and Oak Park resident Molshree "Molly" Sharma announced in a news release Tuesday the formation of Chicago-based Feinberg Sharma (FS). The new firm will focus on family law and complex divorce and related issues, as the partners at FS have worked with high-level executives in every aspect of divorce and divorce-related family matters for more the 40 years, according to the news release. The firm represents highly compensated business owners, executives and senior management, attorneys, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, and other individuals or their spouses and partners throughout Chicagoland.
Opened earlier this year at 2 N. LaSalle Street, Suite 1600, in Chicago, Feinberg Sharma is experienced in every aspect of divorce and divorce-related family matters, serving clients needing assistance with issues ranging from business valuation to parent/custody issues; maintenance and alimony to child support; income sharing to the division of pensions and retirement plans, the news release said. In addition, FS has a special expertise in domestic and international child custody issues and child abduction cases — with regard to Hague Convention cases, an international treaty comprised of over 100 signatory countries which resolve issues of child abduction and jurisdiction.

According to the news release, Feinberg has practiced divorce and family law in Illinois since 1977, specializing in and advocating for those of wealth who are contemplating — or in the midst — of divorce, whether in the mediation stage or at trial. Her practice areas encompass complex parenting and financial analysis in family law litigation. Throughout, she has focused on educating other divorce attorneys about the psychological issues their clients may face and the financial and tax issues that greatly impact every case, and founded Women Empowering Women (WEW), a program to educate female divorce attorneys about the financial issues in divorce cases.
Feinberg is an expert witness and sought-after speaker and writer, utilizing her deep understanding of taxation, business valuation, pensions and executive compensation to advance her client’s interest. According to the news release, Jennifer S. Tier, partner, is a highly skilled litigator and negotiator in all stages of divorce and parentage issues, including pre-and post-marital agreements, allocation of parental decision-making and parenting time, the financial analysis of dividing assets, business valuations and spousal and child support matters. In addition, Tier also heads the ART (Alternative Reproductive Technology) program at the firm. She has been published and has received select industry and educational honors.
