• Stephen A. Schmidt, Ed.D., 79, of River Forest; professor of religious studies at several universities. A funeral service was held at Grace Lutheran Church.

• Virginia "Ginger" Folgers, born in 1937, born in Oak Park; volunteer and former adjunct professor of organ at Concordia. Service was held Sept. 20 at Grace Lutheran Church.
• Dr. Raul Gaston Saavedra, 76, of River Forest, passed away Sept. 13. A service was held Sept. 22. 
• Margaret M. "Molly" Walsh, of Oak Park. Mass at 10 a.m. Oct. 3 at St. Vincent Church,  River Forest. 
• Elizabeth McGuire, 86, in Oak Park Sept. 27. Funeral service to be held Wednesday. 
• Helen M. Goggin, retired Chicago Board of Education member and speech pathologist. Services were held at St. Giles Church.
