Fire Ravages Motel Near O'Hare, Floor Collapses
More than 100 people were inside the O'Hare Kitchenette Motel early Monday when a massive fire broke out.
MELROSE PARK, IL — As many as 100 people were inside a motel near O'Hare International Airport early Monday when a blaze broke out.
WGN reports the extent of injuries, as well as how many were injured, is not known, as firefighters dealt with difficult conditions and bitter cold while trying to quell the flames at the O'Hare Kitchenette Motel, 2301 Mannheim Road. The fire broke out at around 2 a.m.
The second floor at the motel collapsed, according to CBS Chicago. Firefighters remained at the scene early Monday battling the blaze.
