Free Holiday Parking in Oak Park: Everything You Need to Know
Running out of quarters? We know where you can park for free for the holidays.

Oak Park will be easing up on its parking regulations for the holidays, the village announced in a release Tuesday.
The village is lifting its overnight on-street parking ban on most residential streets for the Thanksgiving holiday. The restrictions will be lifted starting this Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. and will remain unenforced until the same time on Monday.
However, restrictions will remain in effect for paid overnight permit areas, including on-street zones.

More free parking will be available starting this Friday in the form of unpaid weekend parking around the village. Residents and visitors alike can park for free in public garages and for up to two hours at bagged or tagged meters or pay-by-space lots. Free weekend parking in these areas will be available until Dec. 26. Parking is always free on Sundays.
