French Country Mansion of a Reputed Mob Boss Now on the Market
What a Wow! House: For $2.15 million, these luxurious River Forest digs could be yours.

Want to bathe in a reputed mobster’s bathtub? Sit on the throne in his marble bathroom? Sleep soundly as smiling angels looking down upon you from the ceiling? Indulge your Tony Soprano fantasy by building ice-cream sundaes at the kitchen breakfast bar?
If you’ve got $2.15 million to spare, check out the 6,350-square-foot River Forest home of Joseph Andriacchi, reportedly a top man in the Chicago Outfit, according to the Chicago Crime Commission. His French Country-style mansion at 1142 Franklin Ave. just went on the market, listed by Gagliardo Realty Associates in Oak Park. Andriacchi built the home in 1993. It features a gated iron entryway, a two-story marble foyer, a master suite (with smiling angels looking down from the ceiling), a dressing room and a marble bathroom with an artistic touch (and a bidet!). The property comes with a hefty $38,000 property tax bill, too.
