Village Theatre Guild's production of Becky's New Car by Steven Dietz continues its highly successful run, now extended until November 10.

VTG's first production opened October 18 to a pair of sold out houses in its first weekend. Several other dates were sold out prior to the 18th. As the show is about to enter its second weekend tonight at 8 PM, this weekend and next are fully sold out. Ticket demand was so high that the production added an extra performance on Sunday November 10 at 3 PM. The run was originally to end on November 9.

Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management, and in a middling marriage--with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn't dare. Becky's New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.
