iPhone 5 Stolen out of Owner's Hands: Oak Park Police Blotter
Oak Park police reports, Jan. 11-13.

SUNDAY, JAN. 13
Two Arrested for Battery
Police arrested and charge two juveniles from Chicago with battery at 10:21 p.m. in the 100 block of Madison in Chicago. Both were processed and turned over to their parents.
Stolen Car Found
Police reported finding a 2009 Saturn Vue that was reported stolen from Oak Park on Nov. 27, 2012. It was returned to the owner.

iPod Touch Stolen
An iPod Touch was reported stolen from the bedroom of a home in the 1100 block of south Scoville between Jan. 11-12. The estimated loss was $250.
Catalytic Converter Stolen
A resident of the 200 block of South Boulevard reported that between Jan. 4-13, some cut the catalytic converter out from under their Jeep. The estimated damage was $40.

Man in Garage Scared Away by Neighbor
A man in his 30s and wearing a stocking cap was seen in a garage in the 800 block of Linden around 6:20 p.m. A neighbor approached the man and he fled down the alley.

SATURDAY, JAN. 12
Retail Theft Arrests
Emanuel Ocasio, 26, of the 2600 block of west Cermack Road in Chicago, and Victor X. Cales, 38, of the 5300 block of west Parker in Chicago, were charged with retail theft in the 300 block of Madison around 8:45 p.m. Both were held in lieu of bonds.
GPS Unit Stolen
Someone entered an Oak Park resident's car while it was parked in the 800 block of south Home between Jan. 11-12 and stole a Garmin GPS unit worth an estimated $150.
Stolen Car Found
An Oak Park resident's car that was reported stolen was later found by Cicero police in Cicero on Jan. 12 around 7:49 p.m. The victim's 2006 Honda Accord was returned, but no apprehensions were made.
Backpack, Wallet and Keys Stolen From Garage
An Oak Park resident in the 1100 block of south Scoville reported that someone broke a lock on the service door of their garage between 4 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and stole a number of items. Reported stolen was a backpack, wallet, iPod, keys and about $150 in cash. The total loss was estimated at $430.
Golf Clubs Stolen
An Oak Park resident of the 1100 block of south Cuyler reported that someone broke into their garage and removed a set of Cleveland Golf Clubs and a bicycle between 11:50 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The total loss was estimated at $1,150.

FRIDAY, JAN. 11
iPhone Stolen From Victim's Hands
A Forest Park resident reported that an unknown man in his 20s stole his iPhone 5 from his hands around 6:18 p.m. in the 700 block of south Austin. The offender then fled on foot. The loss was estimated at $820.
Man Kicks Out Window
Donzell McKinzie, 29, of the 400 block of north Austin, was identified as the offender that kicked out a front window at Unity Foods in Park Ridge, police said. McKinzie charged with criminal damage to property around 4 p.m. He was later released after posting bond.
Vehicle Burglarized
An Oak Brook resident reported that an unknown person broke into their car in the 400 block of south Harvey between 5 p.m. Jan. 11 and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 12. Stolen were various hardware materials and tools for an estimated loss of $900.
