What a difference a year makes – especially for those who love to hear live jazz!

Once again, they can enjoy the silken voice of vocalist Terry Sullivan as she performs with her excellent duo – the renown Tommy Muellner on keys and Rob Kassinger, bassist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra – at a special jazz pre fixe dinner performance. Seating is limited to 20 diners and is by reservation only.

Terry Sullivan began her career singing in early music ensembles and small concert choirs before turning to jazz. An Ohio native, she has a degree in flute from Ohio University, but turned to singing after college. Influenced by Anita O’Day and Blossom Dearie, Ms. Sullivan studied at the Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. A resident of Forest Park, she has become a favorite among Chicago jazz musicians and aficionados throughout the city and western suburbs.

Tom Muellner is a leading Chicagoland pianist and has performed with top musicians, including saxophonist Ira Sullivan, drummer Rusty Jones and countless others. He has appeared in many prestigious jazz clubs as well as large concert venues. National jazz critic Neil Tesser called Muellner “a pianist and tunesmith of stellar magnitude.” And, as the leader of the legendary weekly jam session at the Serbian Village, Muellner has set a high bar for performance in the Chicago jazz community for over ten years.

Rob Kassinger grew up in a family of musicians in Boulder, Colorado. In 1985 he moved to New York to study at the Manhattan School of Music and, later, the Juilliard School. He was appointed to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1993 and has also performed with the Revolution Ensemble, the Orion Ensemble, Fulcrum Point, Ars Viva, Music of the Baroque and others. Kassinger’s experience as a jazz performer dates back to his early teens and he has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Kenny Burrell, the Woody Herman band and numerous others. He is professor of double bass at DePaul University and a guest instructor at Indiana University.
