Kindness Creators Open At Oak Park Arms

The Kindness Creators Intergenerational Program, a new preschool for children age 3 to 5, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.

The Kindness Creators Intergenerational Program, a new preschool for children age three to five, housed within the Oak Park Arms retirement community, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday with Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce.

Kindness Creators opened its doors on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Senior residents of the Oak Park Arms volunteer at the preschool to interact with the children during organized activities.

According to Jaime Moran and Pam Lawrence, owners of Kindness Creators, the residents are invited to volunteer at the preschool to interact with the children during organized activities.

Oak Park Arms residents have been anticipating the opening of the preschool for months. Seniors have made crayon and marker boxes, knitted animals, and created a happy birthday sign for birthday celebrations.

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides senior independent living and assisted living apartments. Additional services include respite care and an adult day care program. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
