Miller Meadow Off-Leash Dog Area to Open Saturday

A grand opening will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 in Forest Park.

Miller Meadow Off-Leash Dog Area will host a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at 2175 1st Ave. in Forest Park.

Attendees can explore the seven-acre space, learn about volunteering, talk to venders and start applying for membership to the dog area.

The grand opening is free, but the annual fee after Saturday is $55 per dog with a veterinarian’s report and an application, according to the dog park group.

Visit the Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s website at fpdcc.com to begin the membership process, or apply in person at 536 N. Harlem Ave. in River Forest.
