Mosquito Spraying Planned In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — With summer rains and humid weather becoming more frequent, the village of Oak Park has scheduled a mosquito spraying day. The spraying is scheduled to take place between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. on Thursday, if weather allows.

This will mark the first time in 2018 that the Des Plaines Valley Mosquito Abatement District has sprayed in Oak Park. In order for spraying to be most effective, crews try to do so on a night when temperatures are less than 85 degrees, the wind is calm, and there is no rain.

If weather conditions aren't favorable, the spraying will be rescheduled for Friday, July 27.
