Oak Park Early Voting, Ballot Drop Box Site For November Election

Any registered Oak Park and suburban Cook County voter may request a mail ballot online through Oct. 29.

OAK PARK, IL — Mail ballots for the Nov. 3 General Election will be mailed out to all Oak Park and Cook County voters who apply to receive one beginning Thursday, according to the Village of Oak Park.

Any registered suburban Cook County voter may request a mail ballot online through Oct. 29. The clerk's office said any registered suburban Cook County voter with a driver's license, state ID or social security number on file may request a mail ballot using an online or paper application. The clerk's office website notes that ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (Nov. 3) to be counted.

Once registration information is confirmed, the county will send a ballot application form via U.S. Mail to the address included in the original ballot request. The application form will include a postage-paid return envelope to submit the ballot application. A ballot will then be sent to qualified applicants. Again, Cook County will begin accepting completed mail ballots Thursday.
