Oak Park Eases Up On Parking Restrictions During Holidays

Oak Park residents will get a break from residential on-street parking and overnight parking restrictions from Dec. 23 through Jan. 3.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park residents will get a break from stressing out about on-street and overnight parking during the winter holidays. The village just announced it is easing parking restrictions on most of its residential streets from Dec. 23 through Jan. 3.

The restrictions will be lifted starting at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23, and will go back into effect at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, according to a release from the village of Oak Park.

The village notes that parking restrictions will still be in effect for paid overnight permit areas and posted on-street zones. Other parking restrictions that are not in residential zones will still be in effect.
