OAK PARK, IL — Overnight and daytime street parking restrictions will resume at 2:30 a.m. Monday throughout Oak Park, the village said in a news release. These include overnight restrictions from 2:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. and all posted daytime restrictions, which were eased in March as part of an emergency order to accommodate the growing number of residents working from home during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to the village. As the village continues to follow the state guidelines that have allowed most businesses to reopen, and the local emergency order no longer in place, officials said the need for the special parking accomodations has decreased, according to the news release.

In addition, the Oak Park Police Department continues to support limiting on-street parking as a safety measure, and the village's public works department is stressing a need for street sweeping.

Parking is prohibited on all streets from 2:30 to 6 a.m., seven days per week, year around, except when allowed by permit or pass, the village said. However, the restrictions are lifted around some holidays.
