Oak Park Police Arrests: Theft, Residential Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property

Oak Park Police arrest from Dec. 28 to Dec. 29.

An unknown perpetrator is suspected of criminally damaging Field Park on the 900 block of Woodbine Avenue between Dec. 23 and Dec. 28. The perpetrator allegedly drove a circle on the baseball diamond of the park, causing an estimated $750 in damages.

An unknown perpetrator is suspected of stealing from a home on the 900 block of N. Austin Boulevard between Dec. 24 and Dec. 26. The perpetrator allegedly entered the apartment with a key taped to the back door and two televisions, a Playstation, three game consoles, a Macbook Pro and a pair of headphone valued at a total of $1900.

Three unidentified men are suspected of stealing from The Gap on the 400 block of N. Harlem Avenue on Dec. 28. the men allegedly filled a duffel bag and plastic bag with baby clothes and left the store. The clothes were valued around $1000 total.

An unidentified man is suspected of attempted burglary from a home on the 1100 block of S. Clinton Avenue on Dec. 28. The man allegedly tried to enter the home through the back door.

Three unidentified men are suspected of an armed robbery on the 100 block of S. Taylor Avenue on Dec. 28. The men allegedly approached a victim, demanding he empty his pockets. The victim handed them an iPhone charger and the other man showed the victim his semi-automatic handgun, demanding the victim’s phone and wallet. The men left the scene with a total of $30 in estimated losses.
