Oak Park Woman Found Safe Day After Reported Missing

Rose Czartoryski​, 73, who was reported missing Sunday, has been located, according to the Oak Park Police Department.

OAK PARK, IL — The Oak Park Police Department said a woman who was reported missing Sunday has been found, and is safe. Police updated the public Monday evening that Rose Czartoryski, 73, has been located, and thanked everyone who offered help in the search for the Oak Park resident.

Ms. Czartoryski has been located and is safe. Thank you to everyone who offered assistance.

Over the weekend Oak Park-River Forest Patch reader Lisa Brown shared that Rose is her great aunt, and normally walks on Harlem Avenue and Lake Street.

"Please bring her home safely," Brown said.

Police are continuing to search for 65-year-old Mary Windham, who is still missing despite a "confirmed sighting" of her nearly two weeks ago in Chicago. Windham went missing on Aug. 15 after leaving Berkeley Nursing and Rehab Center, located 6909 W. North Avenue in Oak Park, according to police.
