Oak Park Police Report Higher Number Of Fireworks Complaints
Oak Park officers will respond to reported spots and issue citations if the person involved with setting off fireworks can be located.
OAK PARK, IL — The Oak Park Police Department reminds residents that fireworks are illegal in Oak Park and throughout the state. In a Wednesday reminder, police said anyone who sets off fireworks are putting themselves at risk, and are being a nuisance to neighbors.
But that's not all. You could also face a citation, according to Oak Park police, who said the police department is receiving a higher number of complaints — as is common this time of year— about fireworks being set off in and around the Village.
Patrol officers will respond to reported spots and issue citations if the person involved with setting off fireworks can be located.
