Phase 4 Plan, Pride Month Proclamation: River Forest President

In her message, River Forest President Catherine Adduci said Village Hall operations will change during Phase 4.

RIVER FOREST, IL — In a Thursday message, Village of River Forest President Catherine Adduci discussed the changes taking place across the area beginning Friday when Phase 4 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Restore Illinois plan. In her message, Adduci said Village Hall operations will change during Phase 4, starting Monday.

Village Hall lobby and customer service windows will reopen to the public starting Monday, and will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. According to the Village, people entering Village Hall will continue to be required to wear a mask or face covering.

Virtual Village Hall will continue to be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and senior residents and vulnerable residents needing to do business without leaving their homes can call Village Hall for assistance at 708-366-8500. In addition, the exterior drop-box is available and the Village Hall lobby is open for drop off and pickup, Adduci added, in the message.

All meetings held with in-person attendance will be limited to 50 percent room capacity and with no more than 50 people, while all Village Board and Commission meetings will continue to be offered to the public virtually during Phase 4.

Adduci reminds residents to stay safe, wear masks, practice social distancing, wash hands and stay home if you are sick or at high-risk risk for the coronavirus.

As of Thursday, River Forest has had a total of 61 cases of the coronavirus, and one death.

If you need a face covering and unable to make your own, or are a senior or an older adult in need of additional services, such as grocery shopping or pharmacy pick up, Village officials ask that you call their River Forest COVID-19 Senior Response Team at 708-613-1642.

Adduci also shared news of a proclamation regarding the month of June.

"As Village President, I have issued a proclamation designating June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month," Adduci said, in the message. "Please click here to read the proclamation. River Forest supports the rights of every citizen to experience equality and freedom from discrimination."
