Police Investigate Attempted Bank Robbery in Cicero

A man tried to rob Bank of America in Cicero on Thursday morning.

Cicero, IL — A bank clerk was handed a threatening note around 10 a.m. Thursday at a Bank of America in Cicero.

The man who tried to rob the bank at 2337 South Cicero Avenue didn't show a weapon or imply he had one, and he fled from the bank without getting any money after the clerk notified police, according to Ray Hanania, Cicero spokesperson.

The FBI and the Cicero police have released three photos of the suspect. He is described as in his late 40s with a medium build, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a Florida Marlins baseball hat, black sunglasses and a tan and yellow striped shirt, according to the FBI.
