Retail Theft, Domestic Abuse and a Kidnapping: Oak Park Police Blotter

Two men were arrested in a kidnapping and robbery case.

Retail theft, domestic battery charges and a kidnapping all made appearances on Oak Park’s latest police blotter. Read more below.

Domestic abuse
Diamond Williams, 22, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of domestic battery. She was held at the police station in lieu of paying to bail herself out of jail. Williams lives on Chicago Ave.

Aggravated kidnapping and robbery
Two men, Kantrill Robinson, 22, and Eric Chatman, 26, were arrested Tuesday for both a kidnapping on S. Komar Street in Chicago and a robbery that took place at a Radio Shack. Robinson and Chatman were arrested around 8 p.m.

Retail theft
A 17-year-old shoplifting at Old Navy on N. Harlem in Oak Park was caught and arrested, police reported, before being transported to the police station and eventually back to his parents.

Another, unresolved theft took place when someone’s “Hillary for President” flag was stolen from the front porch of their home on Gunderson.
