Lloyd Ingram, 50 of Chicago, was arrested and taken to the station. The value of the stolen items was $175. Due to a previous 2014 retail theft conviction, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Felony Review Unit was contacted and approved one count of felony retail theft.

At 6:39 a.m. July 25, officers were sent to the River Forest Town Center for a possible retail theft at a business. The offender was located and proceeds valued at $422 were found, which had been stolen from a business in the 7200 block of W. Lake. During the investigation, it was determined that Darnell Wynn, 19 of Chicago, had given false identification information in an attempt to hide an active warrant that he had from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department. Wynn was taken to the station and charged with retail theft and obstructing identification.

At 5:45 a.m. July 27, an officer saw a person, who had previously been arrested for burglary in River Forest, in the area of Franklin and Augusta. Upon seeing the officer, the person tried to run away, but he was caught and taken into custody. Further investigation revealed he had just stolen a Kindle tablet from a Jeep Cherokee, which was parked in a driveway on the 800 block of Keystone. Earl Toomer, 21 of Maywood, was charged with one count of burglary after the criminal complaint was approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

At 9:52 a.m. July 31, an officer conducting patrols in the River Forest Town Center observed a suspicious car parked in the lot. A computer check revealed the registered owner had three outstanding fugitive warrants out Wisconsin and Indiana. The warrants were for narcotics and fraud related offenses. The officer conducted a street stop on the registered owner of the car and Sada M. Steverson, 27 of Chicago, was taken into custody. Steverson was processed and turned over to the Cook County Sheriff’s Department for further court proceedings.

At 3:40 a.m. Aug. 4, an officer saw a person who had been previously stopped at North Ave and Harlem by another law enforcement agency for carrying bolt cutters. The person had a bicycle. Anthony R. Williams, 50 of Chicago, was uncooperative and tried to flee the stop. Further investigation revealed Williams had cut a padlock on the bike parked on private property on the 1500 block of Franklin. Williams was arrested and taken to the station. Because Williams had a previous felony conviction in 2013 for theft, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Felony Review Unit was contacted and approved felony theft and obstructing charges.
