River Forest Public Library: Katie Cangelosi Joins The Library As New Operations Manager

The Library is excited to welcome Katie Cangelosi as the new Operations Manager. Katie will work closely with the Director, sharing responsibility for library administration, finances, and facilities, as well as overseeing the Materials Services Department.

Katie comes to River Forest with over 8 years of experience in customer and library service. Most recently, she was Collection Services Manager at Hinsdale Public Library and Head of Circulation Services at Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District. She has a Master of Library and Information Services from University of Alabama and a BA in Business Management from Northeastern Illinois University.

Katie’s love for libraries began at a very young age and she says “the library felt like the first place I was really welcome to explore every corner, nook, and cranny.” Since then, her love for libraries “has been fostered by a passion for community spaces that welcome all and reinforce lifelong learning in users.” She is looking forward to getting to know the River Forest community.
