Single Offender Hands Over 7 Bags Of Heroin, Theft Arrests: River Forest Police Blotter

The River Forest police have been busy.

The following items were taken from the River Forest police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Retail theft

  • Keith D. Collins, 28, of Chicago, was arrested just after noon Feb. 16 when he was caught stealing two bottles of vodka from Whole Foods at 7245 W. Lake St. The merchandise was valued at $38 total, cops said, and Collins was found leaving the area at a CTA Green Line station nearby.
  • Jose L. Perez, 32, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 21 for stealing $151 worth of baby formula from Whole Foods on Lake Street. He’d left the store by the time cops got there, but they located him a few blocks away and took him into custody.

Drugs

  • Eric A. Houlihan, 26, of Hawthorne Woods, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Feb. 13 when a police officer observed him and two other people walking through the River Forest Town Center while seemingly under the influence of drugs. The officer saw them get into a car and drive away, and after a traffic stop discovered that Houlihan was in possession of seven small bags of heroin.

DUIs

  • Felicia R. Jay, 36, was stopped for weaving on the roadway while driving and possibly falling asleep at the wheel. She was charged at 7:44 a.m. Feb. 19 with drunk driving when an officer stopped her, applied sobriety tests and found an open bottle of tequila in her car. Jay, who’s from Maywood, refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.
  • Isaac Williams, 42, of Chicago, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. Feb. 20 when police stopped him for an IVC violation in the 1000 block of Harlem and found that he’d been driving drunk. He blew a 0.172 BAC during a breathalyzer test at the police station, which is over twice the legal limit to drive.

Stolen car/resisting arrest

  • Arthur A. Soriano, 37, was arrested the afternoon of Feb. 14 when someone reported his car as being suspicious while he was parked in a CVS Pharmacy parking lot on West North Avenue. Officers pursued Soriano after finding the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Melrose Park. They found the car parked at a 7-Eleven store on North Harlem and saw Soriano running from the vehicle. They caught and charged him after a brief foot pursuit.
