- During the pandemic, Housing Forward had to change their entire shelter model overnight. Instead of grouping people together, they had to shift to hotels and individual care, however, they're still logging more success stories than ever. (Wednesday Journal)
- Oak Park District 97 is looking for outside help in hiring a new superintendent. They've committed to hiring whichever candidate the yet-to-be-chosen outside firm decides on. (Oak Leaves)
- Oak Park River Forest High School could be in line for $1.4 million in federal funding to aid in its tentative re-opening plans. The district is planning to welcome incoming freshman on August 13. (Oak Leaves)
- Urban Pioneer Group, a private event space on Madison Street, was issued a notice of emergency closure of liquor-related business activities from Mayor Rory Hoskins, who serves as the liquor commissioner of Forest Park. Some reasons include allegations that the group continued to serve liquor to dangerously intoxicated people. (Forest Park Review)
