Surf's Up Restaurant Now Open In Felony Frank's Site In Oak Park
The seafood restaurant serves fried lobster, po' boys, and buffalo wings.

OAK PARK, IL — The building that once housed Felony Frank's in Oak Park didn't stay empty for long. Surf's Up Restaurant held its grand opening in the beloved storefront at 6427 North Ave. Friday to a room full of customers who noshed on shrimp po' boys, buffalo wings, fried lobster, and other eats.
The Oak Park location, which features bright yellow walls and images of cartoon lobsters and rolling waves, is the third Surf's Up in the greater Chicago area. The company also has stores in Maywood and on Chicago's South Side.
Bef0re Surf's Up opened, village trustee Deno Andrews, former owner of Felony Franks posted on Facebook that he was glad the restaurant was committed to keeping Felony Franks practice of hiring ex-offenders.

Surf's Up is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
