Suspect In Custody After Boy Stabbed At East Leyden High School

One person is in custody and students were sent home from school early Tuesday, Sept. 24 after the stabbing, report said.

FRANKLIN PARK, IL — A boy was stabbed in the neck Tuesday morning at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park. Another boy was in custody, and students were sent home early, after the school was forced to go into lockdown. The victim was being treated at the hospital, but his condition was not available.

The Rosemont Public Safety Department Supt. confirmed the lockdown at East Leyden was lifted just before 11:40 a.m. and school will be dismissed for the rest of the day.
