1. An Oak Park teen is recovering after a stray bullet grazed his head at a July 4 party in River Forest. Sixteen-year-old Vincent Solari was hit Sunday night near the corner of Gale Avenue and Washington Boulevard. He was discharged from Loyola Medical Center July 6 after undergoing extraction surgery. 2. Eviction moratoria put in place by the state of Illinois and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are expected to end by August. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is urging renters who need assistance to visit chicookilrenthelp.org. (Cook County Sheriff)

3. Chicago police continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on June 20 at 410 N. Cicero Ave. in Austin. The driver of a blue-green crystal-colored Pontiac Grand Prix hit and killed a motorcyclist on the West Side. The Chicago Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Unit is asking the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle. (ABC7)
4. Oak Park-River Forest School District 200 is making updates to its equity policy. New procedures are designed to assist employees in “lessening the risk of racial inequity, implicit bias, and other related consequences.” (Wednesday Journal)
5. A Dominican University student is sharing her experience with a NASA summer program. Anusha Mody is a math and aerospace engineering major at the River Forest school, and she led her team in the effort to design a Mars lander. (Dominican University)
