Veterans Day 2016: What's Open, What's Closed in Oak Park

This year, Veterans Day kicks off the weekend on Friday, Nov. 11. Make sure you schedule your errands around the following local closures:

• Post Office: Closed
• Federal Offices: Closed
• Cook County offices, including the circuit clerk’s office, courts and more will be closed on Veterans Day
• School District 97: Schools are open
• School District 200: Schools are closed
• Banks: Most are closed. Call your bank before stopping in.
• Area restaurants and stores: Most should be open. And several restaurants will be offering special deals for veterans. Here is a full list from WGN TV on restaurants providing offers and discounts for veterans.
