Watch: Tavi Gevinson on the Colbert Report

Oak Park native Tavi Gevinson appeared on the Colbert Report last night to talk Rookie Yearbook One and possible styles for Steven Colbert.

Keeping up with Colbert Report host Steven Colbert can't be easy. I sometimes wonder how his guests manage to say anything at all on his show.

But young Oak Park resident Tavi Gevinson—author, actor, and fashion icon—did pretty damn well. She was on the show promoting her book, Rookie Yearbook One.

You can watch the episode on Hulu here, if you missed it last night.

Colbert started his questioning off in singular Colbert fashion, asking Gevinson, "When are your going to start achieving something with your life?"

At 16 years old, Gevinson is the youngest guest yet to appear on the Colbert Report. She seemed a little nervous through the program, but definitely was able to hold her own. She even cracked a few good jokes of her own.

But, now that we've seen Gevinson on the Colbert Report, is it possible we'll see Colbert in Rookie magazine?

Tavi did invite Colbert to do some writing for the site (she was kind of pressured into it). He proposed a column written from the point of view of a 48-year-old dad titled, You're Not Wearing That.
