Zombie Pub Crawl Returns to Roosevelt Road Oct. 27

Maybe only fans of AMC's The Walking Dead will get this reference, but the roaming herd will soon be upon us.

You can keep your cross bows at home and join the walking dead as they return to Roosevelt Road on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. for the 3rd annual Roosevelt Road Zombie Walk and Pub Crawl.

The event is sponsored by the Roosevelt Road Business Association and Horrorbles, 6729 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn and will feature zombie makeup, a pub crawl, food and an after party, "Designed to rival even your fondest memories of Thriller," according to the press release. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit West Suburban PADS.

The Details

Horrorbles will sponsor a makeup and costume staging from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the shop, at Metro Bank, 7025 W. Roosevelt Rd, and at Culvers, 6943 W. Roosevelt Rd., so you can deck yourself up in the latest dead trends.

Once you're properly zombified, the staggering hoard will be led on a pub crawl that will take the undead from 12th Street Rag, to Commodore Barry Post, the Friendly Tap and FitzGerald's.

At FitzGerald's, zombies will enjoy a catered after party (brains!) complete with films and other fun ways to celebrate Halloween.
