11 Hospitalized After Car Hits Hayride: Reports
A 22-year-old woman from DeKalb has been cited in connection with the incident.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Around a dozen people, all adults, were injured Saturday evening when a vehicle struck passengers on a hayrack ride on River Road between Blackhawk Road and Fox River Drive, authorities said.
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said the hayrack ride passengers were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
A 22-year-old DeKalb woman, Kaitlin Minick, was driving the vehicle that struck the back of the hayride, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. The Plano Fire Department told ABC Chicago that the vehicle rolled over after hitting the hayride wagon.

Minick was treated on the scene and released. She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
According to WGN, 14 people were on the hayride when it was struck and 11 were hospitalized. Three were reportedly in serious condition, five were in fair condition and three were in good condition. The three remaining passengers were treated at the scene, police told WGN.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing and thanked assisting agencies including the Sandwich Police Department, Plano Police Department, Bristol Kendall Fire, Oswego Fire, Somonauk Fire, Newark Fire, Little Rock Fox Fire, Sugar Grove Fire and Kendall County auxiliary deputies.
