2 People Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash in Oswego

One person had to be extricated from their car.

OSWEGO, IL — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Oswego.

The crash occurred at around 4:05 p.m. at the intersection of Orchard and Mill roads. When crews arrived, they found one vehicle rolled onto the driver side with one person trapped inside and two other vehicles were moderate damage. A medical helicopter was requested to the scene and crews immediately began evaluating the patients and extricated the driver of the vehicle that rolled over.

Oswego paramedics took one patient to Rush Copley in Aurora. After an extended extrication, the driver of the vehicle that rolled was taken by helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. The driver of a third vehicle did not require medical assistance.

The conditions of the patients are not known. The intersection was shut down for an investigation during the incident.
